Sandra Lee Barnhart, 83, Johnstown, surrounded by family passed away August 7, 2018. Born July 7, 1935 in Johnstown, the daughter of Kenneth Bidelman and Anne (McKee) Williams. Deceased family members include her parents; stepfather, Howard Williams; husband, Forrest Barnhart; brothers, Fred Bidelman and Larry Bidelman; and sister, Doris Brown. She is survived by a large family; daughter Kerri, wife of Daniel Branas, Portage, PA; daughter Kelly, wife of Joseph Chuba, Sherrills Ford, NC; son Scott Barnhart and wife Sharon, Waterford, VA. She will be sadly missed by 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and many friends. Educated in Johnstown, Sandra spent the majority of her life locally with several years out west supporting her husband, an Air Force veteran and Bethlehem Steel retiree. In celebration of Sandra's reunion with her husband, after 15 years apart, the family remembers many happy summers at Bethco Pines, Easter Egg hunts at the Management Club, the downtown Elks Club, shopping at Glosser Brothers, chili dogs and chocolate milk at Coney Island, vacations in Wildwood, New Jersey and Cocoa Beach, Florida, and many pleasant conversations with friends at the Richland Mall. Sandra also enjoyed years of many friendships and bowling for the Richland B's in Richland, working for the local voting registrar, playing cards with friends, and traveling to as many casinos as she could enjoy. In keeping with Sandra's wishes there will be no funeral services. Her family will carry on her memories of simpler times in Johnstown and miss her indefinitely. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Forest Hills Personal Care Home and Asera Care Hospice for their kind, loving and comforting care of our Mom and us during this very difficult transition.
