Olga (Holesh) Serenko

Serenko, Olga, 93 Portage, passed away October 23, 2018 at Maple Winds Nursing Care Center. Born March 12, 1925 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Michael and Helen (Kopka) Holesh. Deceased family members include her parents; husband, Andrew E. Serenko; granddaughter, Theodora "Teddie" Freiwald; brothers, Michael and John Holesh; sister, Mary Ann "Mern" Cully; brothers in law, Michael Marince and Ronald "Red" Cully; and sisters in law, Lucy Holesh and Dorothy Holesh. Survived by her children, Andrea, wife of Joseph Aber, Monroeville; Mark A. Serenko and wife Patti; and Tina, wife of John Freiwald, both of Portage. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Jason Clinton; Jessica Simon; Michael Aber and wife Andonia; and Johnie Lynn, wife of Wade Harle; and great grandson, Luc Harle. Also survived by her sister, Helen Marince, Aliquippa; and several loving nieces and nephews and their families. At Olga's request, there will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to a Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. Friday at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Portage; with luncheon to follow; Father Robert Karl, celebrant.
