James Shedlock

Shedlock, James 67, Bedford, formerly of Portage, passed away March 3, 2018 at home. Born May 10, 1950 in Portage, the son of Steve and Kathryn (Carpec) Shedlock. Deceased family members include his parents; infant daughter, Brittany Lea Shedlock; father-in-law, Chester Hochrein; also his precious Belle. Survived by loving wife of 35 years, Leslie (Burgess) Shedlock. Children, Renee Latterner and companion Shawn, Rawlings, MD;  Brett Lysinger, and wife Kelly, LaVale, MD; Andrea Lysinger, Washington, PA; grandsons, Hunter and Gabriel; Brother of, Steve (Loraine) Shedlock; Kathy, wife of Richard Patrick, both of Portage; and David Shedlock, and wife Marianne, Bedford. Also survived by mother-in-law, Marjorie Hochrein, and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Employed by Bedford Ford/Lincoln in the parts department. He will be sadly missed by his co-workers that he considered as family. Member of Fort Bedford VFW Post 7527 and the Bedford American Legion Post 113. Life member and Past president of the Portage Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. He was a kind and gentle man and will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Ave., Portage, Father Thomas Stabile, TOR, Celebrant. Committal will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Portage.
