James "Jinks" Handel Jr.

Handel, James "Jinks" Jr., 70, Glen Campell, PA; formerly of Portage passed away November 18, 2019 at home. Born September 25, 1949 in Portage; the son of James W. and Alverta (Baer) Handel. Proceeded in death by his parents, brother Edward J. and sister Alverta "Bertie" Adams. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Karen (Lutsko) Handel, children James Handel III and wife Tammy, New Derry, PA and daughter Jaime, wife of Bryan Rose, Portage; grandchildren: Caitlyn, Jake, Bailey, Liam, Zach and Blaise. Sister of Nancy, wife of Chuck Williams. He is also survived by his beloved rottweiler Abby. US Navy Veteran and retired from Beth Energy Mine 33. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Penn State and watching the Steelers. Friends and family are invited for a memorial service and celebration of life Saturday from 2-4 p.m. at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Pastor Jerry Zuvers officiating. Committal will be private.
