Esther M. (Markel) Adams

Adams, Esther, (Markel), 75, of Portage, peacefully entered heavens gates on January 5, 2019 in Imler. Born May 8, 1943 in Summerhill Twp., the daughter of Walter and Viola (Plummer) Markel. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Adams; children, Gregory, Brian, Jerry, and 2 infant children; sisters, Shirley Konczos and Violet Irene Krampen. Survived by daughter, Michelle Miller; sons, Terry, Tommy, Michael, Hansford, and Douglas. Also survived by 26 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; brothers, Walter "Butch" Markel; and Garry Markel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of  Faith Baptist Church of Osterburg. Esther worked many years at Laurel Crest Manor in Ebensburg. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family.  It is with sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who offered her prayers and many acts of kindness and assistance.  She will be dearly missed and loved forever. Friends received from 5-8, p.m., Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Pastor Mark Mahan, officiating.
