Dorothy (Paulson) Tarachko

Tarachko, Dorothy, 85, of Portage, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 30, 1933 in Dunlo the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Yanich) Paulson.  Deceased family members include her parents, husband, Richard G. "Dick" Tarachko; great-granddaughter Jordin Sisco; brothers, Robert, Raymond, and Andrew Paulson; and sisters, Catherine Paulson and Betty Susko. Survived by children, Nanette Tarachko, Benscreek; Robert Tarachko, Shoemaker; Richard Tarachko married to the former Cindy Farren; Sean Tarachko married to the former Pam Stager; Michele wife of Ken Billings; and Barbara wife of Bob Yogus, all of Portage. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Erin, Lindsay, Leah, Sheena, Ian, Shane, Jake, Kenny, Sean, Zach and Shelley and great-grandchildren Dawson, Asher, Taylor,  Lexi, Kenny, Beau, Ruby, and Jamie. Sister of Mary Zalucki, OK; and Evelyn Hutsky, Cassandra. Dorothy was the Co-founder of the Portage Beverage Co. with her husband, Dick, in 1967. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and a devout church member always being involved with activities at the former Assumption B.V.M. Church in Portage. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her grandchildren and especially cooking and baking ethnic foods in preparation for the holidays. The family would like to thank Hospice Unit 365 of Carrolltown for all of their love and care. Friends received from 2-8 PM Sunday at the Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday at Holy Family Parish, Caldwell Avenue, Portage. Fr. Thomas Stabile, TOR, celebrant. Committal in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Portage. Family suggests any memorial contributions be made to Birthright.
